The Bush Administration in One Sentence

This article says it all.

Well most anyhow. I think time will tell that when it's all said and done, and the dust clears, people will feel as stupid as they are for believing the lies and cover-ups. If you are offended by my statement above, then you are who I am talking about!

Whether you believe it or not....

Global warming is an issue NOW, not 10, 50, or 100 years from now. By then it will be too late!! Quit making excuses and make an effort. There are som amny things that you can do that are simple and do not require a complete lifestyle change, hell you will save some money in the process using some of the ideas. For instance CFL bulbs, I saw a $30 drop in my electric bill the first month I used them!

Also Help Mr. Gore get the message to congress.

http://www.algore.com/cards.html - Send this link to 10 of your friends.

Do it for your kids, and grandkids, nieces, nephews. Quit being selfish for once in your life. =)

Articles that can educate you on the issue:

Forecast puts Earth's future under a cloud

Here too
oh wait, that wasn't the right link...but it was fun wasn't it! =)

Stop Global Warming

Notice that I did not send you to Al Gore's site. Why not? It does have a wealth of information and links to other sites with imformation but, it is because when people think of Al Gore they think of Democrat, while he is a democrat, that is not why he is pushing for change on the Global Warming Issue. It is moral not political.

Ex-Congressional Aide: Karl Rove Personally Received (And Ignored) Iranian Peace Offer in 2003

I truly do wish that findings such as these were so difficult to find, that it was really questionable that it even happened. But, trusting is not a way to describe the American People, when day after day, and hour after hour, things like this come out. The lies and deception over and over, only to benefit America, but it doesn't truly benefit "ALL" of America.. only those involved in those lies and deceptions.

On the Environmental Front...

Huge news for the Global Warming advocates....

The TXU Corporation, the Texas energy giant that had become the whipping boy of the nation’s largest environmental groups, was in talks to be sold to a group led by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Company and Texas Pacific Group, two large private equity firms.

Meaning that plans for the construction of 8 of 11 coal-fired power plants TXU had hoped to build are terminated. Just one of many wins!

This is a huge victory for the environmental community. It sends a clear message about the undeniable momentum in Environmental Defense's campaign, calling for federal global warming legislation.

Army Holding Down Disability Ratings

There seems to be more and more evidence of this being found and it is a disgrace. The government cannot continue to treat soldiers this way or it could get really, really, ugly!

"The numbers of people approved for permanent or temporary disability retirement in the Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force have stayed relatively stable since 2001.

But in the Army - in the midst of a war - the number of soldiers approved for permanent disability retirement has plunged by more than two-thirds, from 642 in 2001 to 209 in 2005, according to a Government Accountability Office report last year. That decline has come even as the war in Iraq has intensified and the total number of soldiers wounded or injured there has soared above 15,000. "

The numbers just do not add up! I am actively searching for non profit organizations that are helping these families and I am even taking a percentage of my income from my own business to donate to these organizations that are helping these soldiers and just as important, their families.

One such organization Fisher House, click the link to read more about their wonderful program.

UN Calls US Data on Iran's Nuclear Aims Unreliable

Should this come as a surprise to anyone? Not to me.... All of these groups are setup to protect the world from harm. IAEA, UN, etc.. But has Bush bothered to work with them yet? Instead he goes cowboy on the world, abusing his power making the world his wild, wild, west.

"Since 2002, pretty much all the intelligence that's come to us has proved to be wrong," a senior diplomat at the IAEA said. Another official here described the agency's intelligence stream as "very cold now" because "so little panned out."

Just like 99% of the intelligence about Iraq and them having WMDs. But when our military intelligence searched, they found empty rockets with no traces of chemical or bio weapons. So Guess who got caught telling a lie? Not Pinnochio, although with an obvious growing nose, those that are still backing him might get a clue!

Also, the news that four or five generals would turn in their resignation if a war with Iran were to happen would not be much of an issue for Mr. Bush, if he finds out who they are he would just replace them anyways with someone who agrees with his views. At least those generals have the choice to quit without going to prison.

A British defence source confirmed that there were deep misgivings inside the Pentagon about a military strike. "All the generals are perfectly clear that they don't have the military capacity to take Iran on in any meaningful fashion. Nobody wants to do it and it would be a matter of conscience for them.

But more and more ships are heading to the area and for what? Most likely to antagonize or push Iran into making the first move to have a reason to retaliate against them. But has it been thought about and discussed that a terrorist attack by AQ or other group(s) in the region, is highly possible to spark the war? Most likely it has been and is actually being counted on by the administration because ultimately that is what he wants to do before he leaves office.

We will impeach a president for being unfaithful to his wife, which he is not the first nor the last, just one that got caught. Yet our current president is making terrible decisions for America and elsewhere around the world, is responsible for the killing of hundreds of thousands of people because he has the authority to do what he wants with his power gets to finish out his 2nd term with only being called names, but history is written and he will go down as the worst president in history!

More Of Cheney

The Vice Presindent has been traveling the globe addressing various issues, some with praise, while other issues he rips.

"Cheney praised China for playing an “especially important” role in the negotiations that resulted in the North Korea deal, under which the North is to seal its main nuclear reactor and allow international inspections in exchange for fuel oil."

Ah yes, their favorite 3 letter word, that puts dollar signs in their eyes and control over yet another country. I understand that something must be done with the terrible things that are going on in N. Korea and other countries. We should be using our time, energy, and power to strengthen the NATO.

Cheney also talks about the frowned upon subject oh China's test and shooting a weather satellite out of space.

“Last month’s anti-satellite test, China’s continued fast-paced military buildup are less constructive and are not consistent with China’s stated goal of a peaceful rise,” he said.

Maybe his fear is that while China appears to be on American's side, secretly they are protecting themselves against us......trust much? Why should they?

On Iraq...

“Such chaos and mounting danger does not have to occur. It is, however, the enemy’s objective,” Cheney said. “For the sake of our own long-term security, we have a duty to stand in their way.”

I do not disagree with stepping in and helping people be freed from tyrannical governments. But it should go through the process, not lying to get approval, it only builds more hatred for America because we tend to do what we want and tell other countries what they can and cannot do. If it was done properly with proper support we would have more countries willing to step in and help. But instead those that have stepped in to help are unable to stand the pressure of their people, because they were most likely fed false intelligence to as proof to start the war but now are backing their soldiers out. The US Administration's response is to send more in, just one of many great ideas they are so proud to take credit for. What we all worry about most is that they actually do not see how wrong they are, but the scariest thing is to think that they really don't give a shit.

Show your support

I have added a link to the right to a site called AnySoldier.com It was started by a soldier by the name of Sergeant Brian Horn from LaPlata, Maryland, an Army Infantry Soldier with the 173rd Airborne Brigade.

You can follow the directions on the site to choose a soldier and send a package to that soldier or you can mke a donation at the bottom of the page.

I do not get anything for this referral, nor would I accept anything. I want to show that although I have my doubts about why we are in Iraq, I support the men and women in combat and in harm's way for America.

Thank You

Honor in Iraq

Reading an article today that was posted on Foxnews.com has gotten my attention. Speaking from Japan, VP Cheney made the following comments:

"America will stay on the offensive on the War on Terror," he said. "The American people will not support a policy of retreat."

Define a policy of retreat! Is that just packing up camp and bringing home the troops ? Would that be having a documented plan to lessen our presence so the people of Iraq can have their country back? In my opinion this country wants our troops back in the states. Safe and secure as we can have them. They risk their lives for our freedoms and we respect them and want their safe return.

Also VP Cheney stated :

We want to complete the mission, we want to get it done right, and then we want to come home, with honor,"

What is the mission ? Is it to free a country of a tyrannical dictator and give it back to the people? Is it to find proof of weapons and the harboring of terror groups? Is it to install a form of government that our government thinks they should have? I am in no way saying that democracy is wrong, I am wondering if it should be forced on a group of people that do not want to participate in it. Can we say this is the way you should run your country now do it or we will spank you? Again in my opinion, we went over to Iraq because they had a dictator that was persecuting his people and those around him. We were also told that he had or was capable of making weapons so terrible that he needed to be stopped. Finally help them organize themselves so they can regain their country. So our troops went over, ended the dictators reign, searched for weapons, destroyed their ability to make those weapons. We trained their army and police forces and they held elections and set up a new government structure. What else is left for us to do. I think we lived up to our part in this. Now its up to Iraq to take the torch and run with it.

Honor... what does he mean by this? If the troops were recalled now leaving Iraq in the shape it is now? would they not have honor? My first thought was that if they were recalled right now would people treat them the way the Vietnam vets were treated? I think the two wars are very similar and I would hate for our country to revert to what happened 30 years ago. I might not agree with the war and the way it came about and the way it is being run. But saying that, I do support our troops 100 %. I think they have an honor and pride that I would never understand. They sacrifice themselves for our freedoms everyday. I would like to have them home so we can show them how much we respect and appreciate them and what they do for us.

One of my Passions

One of my on going passions is the Assassination of JFK. With out going into too much detail about my own theories on the subject, I will just give a little background on me. I have been interested in the subject since selecting the topic for a research paper for a particular class. Though it has not consumed me to the point where it is all I live and breath. I think that it is an important event that still has ramifications today. Refer to the MIC that Chris has pointed out earlier. With Presidents Day passing and the release of new film just 90 seconds before the shots ring out, my passion again flared and I have been reviewing my notes and rereading books from every possible angle. Itsnt it amazing how this event is still sending out ripples in the water of time and effecting events today.

As this is my first post, it will be short and without links. I'll improve as I express my thoughts and get the feel for the new device to share them.

SCAM with SPAM - protect yourself from more thieves

I found out from a friend about a text message his wife received on her phone. It was for a daily horoscope texted to you. Since they know that you will most likely delete it, because it is unsolicited by you, they simply use the delete of the message as an "opt-in." So at $4.99 a text minimum of 1 per day, could be as many as 4 or more, your cell phone bill is charged and are expected to pay it. This is illegal, at least it should be!! The cell company, who shall remain nameless due to giving them a chance to honor the request to have the charges removed, said that they could not promise anything but would try to have them removed. Say you send out 1000 of these messages to unsuspecting, less than average text users, you just made aproximately $5000, easily sending thousands per day!! Robbery!!! Illegal!!!

So if you get a text similar to what I described below research it and let your cell company know that if they honor the charge that you will look elsewhere for service. If it happens to me I will tell you now that if they are teaming up with crooks and letting this happen to loyal customers, I won't be paying the charges, just my basic cell bill, not a penny more.

click the link and read the print at the bottom, read the terms and conditions..You will see the "OR SELECTING THE YES OPTION WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD ANY MATERIAL FROM LoveSoulMate.net AND AFFILIATED SITES, YOU ARE INDICATING THAT YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS." It gives very specific actions to take to not be charged again. How many people are going to know that ahead of time, when they get the text and delete it without sending the STOP message? That is what they are counting on and getting rich off of unsuspecting victims! Besides, how these idiots actually know who your soulmate is? And doing this service intentionally does not show very many active brain cells on your part.

Spread the word!

Advertising, it works.....when you lie!

They use the G.I Bill to recruit those individuals that cannot afford college. Even after getting the it they cannot afford college. It is a lie, just one of many, you sign a contract that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy that you won't be shipped off to war if you are in training or in college. You agree to it and are binded to it, but they are not. They can change the "binding contract" as they see fit. Speak up, you are being insubordinate and go to prison. They expect you to be truthful and respectful, but how can you be?

Court Refuses Medic's Discharge Claim
The Associated Press

Instead of forcing him to fight or place him into a military prison. Maybe he could finish out his contract helping those at Walter Reed hospital. If he is passionate about what is going on in Iraq he can do his part to help those soldiers that need it when they get back to the states! This illegal use of power has to stop, at home and abroad!

If you knew the end result, would you still do it?

I applaud and thank the soldiers for their sacrifices despite how the US government/military treats you if you are injured. I understand it sort of like insurance, but you can sue an insurance company for saying one thing and not following through. The US military is wonderful until you are permanently injured and it affects you for the rest of your life. Very sad to hear story after story about the treatment of soldiers when they return from combat.

Soldiers Face Neglect, Frustration at Army's Top Medical Facility
By Dana Priest and Anne Hull
The Washington Post

If you knew this sort of thing would happen to you, things that are talked about in the above article, would you still fight for this country? I understand the whole discipline, Lord knows I could use more of it. But this is out of control!! These soldiers are better people than I am or will ever be because if I was asked to do what they do I would have to decline. Especially knowing how they are treated when they return injured.

I think this is a form of torture, the conditions at this hospital, soldiers get lost, they are doped up to forget about themselves the same way they are forgotten. Many would rather die than live that way, hopeless, alone, betrayed....I bet those at Gitmo are treated better, but they are closely monitored by the world, what about Walter Reed?

American tax dollars, well spent?

A very good question. But what do we (The American People) know? We pay them, they don't pay us. We are not working for one of those "Genius Think Tanks" that they spend so much of our tax dollars to make decisions for Us. Most of the time they can't even execute a "think Tank" plan effectively. Maybe we should join the ranks and create our own think tank company? but those of us that are thinking of others and not ourselves will never get that government cash because they are in the business of what will it get them...

Instead they waste our money on War in a country where they can get away with a lot more. I mean who is going to believe a detained Iraqi that he as well as possibly thousands of others that they were abused?

Jailed Two Years, Iraqi Tells of Abuse by Americans

Instead why don't we take care of our own People? For instance, those good hard working folks down in New Orleans and other areas destroyed by Katrina?

Truthout.org Article: US Military Tells Jack Bauer: Cut Out the Torture Scenes ... or Else!

one of the top rated shows on tv... 24 is asked to cut out torture scenes

While I understand/agree we should tone down violence on television, I do not see how that will make the world a better place. Unless Bush and his administration are also victims of too much violence on television and caused them to make a few bad choices and still a few left he can and probably will make, with Iran and N. Korea. Is he the way he is because he watched torture scenes or scenes of death and destruction on tv as a child? Would you actually believe that?

Is 24 too real life? Does the truth hurt the US? I don't believe that the writers came up with the tortures scenes on their own. I think there is more truth than they want us to know.

While the US government tries to control the entire world, maybe they should think about trying to be a positive influence in the world. Set the example, stop making examples of countries that do not believe like YOU do. You are losing the American people...

Thank God for the Patriot Guard!

Watch a video here, which demonstrates commitment to the fallen soldiers and their families. Every Soldier deserves to be honored for his/her duty served. I am not going to spell out the group of protesters but if you have watched the news at all then you will know that this group of people cannot call themselves christians.

Thanks to my brother in law that sent the video.

Article from Newsweek

I agree with this article that there is no better way to support our troops than to bring them home and ensure that they will get to see their families again and not die fighting a Liar's war. I just do not understand why America puts so much burden on themselves to be the World Police when we cannot even protect the America people inside our own borders? Because I believe the focus is not on protecting the america people, it is on getting resources we have exhausted here in the US, whether it be oil or whatever else the goverment feels they need to get greedy about. There is a point when we have to say "No more!" What happened to "We the People?" Well people, we have to open our mouths because they are not listening!

Soldier's fight for a country that is not willing to help with the after Effects!

Here is a scary clip for you? Is this kind of stuff how we want to be remembered in the world? Some of you say, "Well it should not be recorded. they are the morons that videotaped it." Maybe, but that is not why it was wrong.... I love the mentality, "It isn't wrong unless you get caught" Is anyone counting? Let me guess...... NO... cause how long ago would they have lost count? Enough said!
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/02/04/winning-hearts-minds/

I have talked about this ever since the war started. Not only are American Soldiers coming home physically wounded and their "normal" life will never be the same due to limbs missing or disfigured faces, blind and what ever physical injuries they come home with and get treatment only for what the government gives them or what the soldier can afford, which is not much considered how little they are paid to die for this country. I mean the US goverment pays mercenaries way more than they pay our soldiers. Soldiers that they trained, you mean they cannot be trusted to do their job? Maybe if they knew their families would be taken care of while they were away sacrificing their future, whether they died or not, they could be.

If that was not enough reading for you, here is the article I read a bit ago on:
